Research & Dinosaurs Camp | August 24 – August 28, 2026 | Full-Day Summer Camp for Ages 3–12
Looking for a camp that promotes exploration through research and discovery, and combines academics, critical thinking, curiosity, and hands-on learning?
SLI's Research & Dinosaurs Camp encourages campers to think critically and find solutions through scientific inquiry, research, discovery, and age-appropriate enrichment in a supportive full-day summer camp environment.
Throughout the week, students participate in a variety of differentiated activities designed to encourage curiosity, investigation, creativity, critical thinking, and confidence.
Morning Academic and Research Program
Each morning includes mathematics reinforcement and enrichment, English language arts development, and age-appropriate exploration of research, investigation, critical thinking, and communication skills.
Students will have opportunities to investigate topics of interest, explore methods of gathering and organizing information, develop observation and communication skills, and participate in research-based activities appropriate to their age group, interests, and experience level.
Activities may incorporate a blend of hands-on, digital, and inquiry-based experiences depending on student age, readiness, and interests.
Activities are designed to encourage curiosity, problem-solving, communication, organization, and confidence while introducing students to concepts related to research and discovery.
Afternoon Dinosaurs & Prehistoric Discovery Program
In the afternoon, students explore dinosaurs, prehistoric life, paleontology, and scientific discovery through a variety of age-appropriate projects and activities.
Students are encouraged to investigate topics related to prehistoric environments, fossils, scientific evidence, and our understanding of life in the distant past while participating in hands-on, creative, and research-based experiences appropriate to their age group, abilities, and interests.
Activities are designed to promote curiosity, experimentation, creativity, collaboration, and confidence while allowing students to explore concepts related to dinosaurs, paleontology, and scientific discovery.
Full-Day Summer Camp Experience
In addition to academic, research, and science programming, students enjoy a balanced summer camp experience with themed activities, indoor and outdoor games, team challenges, creative projects, social interaction, and outdoor recreation.
The program is designed to give children a full day of learning, discovery, movement, and fun.
