SLI's Music & Sound Camp gives students the opportunity to explore music, sound, creativity, listening skills, and age-appropriate enrichment in a supportive full-day summer camp environment.

Throughout the week, students participate in a variety of differentiated activities designed to encourage creativity, communication, critical thinking, confidence, and self-expression.

Each morning includes mathematics reinforcement and enrichment, English language arts development, and age-appropriate exploration of music, rhythm, listening, and creative expression.

Students will have opportunities to explore different musical styles, develop listening and interpretation skills, investigate how music and sound communicate ideas and emotions, and participate in creative activities appropriate to their age group, interests, and experience level.

Activities may incorporate a blend of hands-on, digital, and technology-based experiences depending on student age, readiness, and interests.

Activities are designed to encourage creativity, communication, collaboration, and confidence while introducing students to concepts related to music and sound.

In the afternoon, students explore sound, creativity, experimentation, and design through a variety of age-appropriate projects and activities.

Students are encouraged to investigate how sound is created, modified, interpreted, and experienced while participating in hands-on, digital, and creative experiences appropriate to their age group, abilities, and interests.

Activities are designed to promote experimentation, creativity, collaboration, and confidence while allowing students to explore principles related to sound and creative expression.

In addition to academic, music, and sound programming, students enjoy a balanced summer camp experience with themed activities, indoor and outdoor games, team challenges, creative projects, social interaction, and outdoor recreation.

The program is designed to give children a full day of learning, creativity, movement, and fun.
